Effective date: August 23, 2026
Short version: 1600 does not collect, share, or sell any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no tracking, and no advertising. The app works entirely offline: your study content and progress stay on your device, and you can erase everything at any time by deleting the app.
This policy applies to the iOS application 1600 — Daily SAT Widgets (“1600”, “the app”), published by Ethan Zhang (“we”, “us”, “our”), an independent developer based in the United States. You can reach us at any time at ethanzhang866@gmail.com.
The app displays SAT-style vocabulary, grammar, and math study content through home-screen and lock-screen widgets and a companion app. All study content is bundled inside the app itself.
None. The app does not collect any personal information or usage data. Specifically:
To make the app work, study information is saved locally on your device (in the app’s own storage, shared privately between the app and its widgets). This information is not accessible to us:
If you back up your device to iCloud, this local app data may be included in Apple’s automatic device backup, which is handled by Apple under Apple’s own privacy practices. We do not receive, access, or control backup data.
You can remove all locally stored data at any time by deleting the app.
We do not use any information, because none ever reaches us. All data described above is processed solely on your device, by the app’s own features (for example, calculating your streak or scheduling reminders). We do not profile users, personalize advertising, or build databases of any kind.
We do not share personal information with any third party, because we do not collect any. For completeness:
Because we share no user data with anyone, no third party has access to information covered by this policy.
Locally stored study data remains on your device for as long as the app is installed. You can delete it completely at any time by deleting the app from your device, which erases all progress, preferences, and settings permanently.
Because we collect no personal information, there is no consent to withdraw and no server-side copy for us to delete. If you nonetheless want confirmation that we hold no data about you, email us and we will respond.
Privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), other U.S. state privacy laws, and the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) give individuals rights over personal information that is collected by a business or controller — for example, rights of access, correction, deletion, and portability.
Because the app collects no personal information, there is no personal data for us to act on, and these rights are satisfied by design. You do not need to take any action, and we maintain no records that would be subject to such requests. If you have questions, or wish to make a request anyway, contact us at ethanzhang866@gmail.com and we will respond promptly.
The app is a general-audience study tool and is not directed to children under 13. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone — including children and minors — because it collects no personal information at all. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at ethanzhang866@gmail.com and we will address it promptly.
Because the app transmits no data, there is no data in transit for us to protect. Locally stored study data benefits from the security protections built into iOS and your device, including app sandboxing and device encryption. We deliberately avoid making absolute guarantees about security; however, since we never receive or store your information on our side, there is no developer-held database that could be breached.
We do not transfer any data internationally or otherwise, because we never receive data. All information handled by the app stays on your device. Any backup or sync performed by Apple (such as iCloud device backup) is governed by Apple’s privacy policy and infrastructure.
If you opt in, the app can schedule an optional daily study reminder. These notifications are generated and delivered entirely on your device through iOS; no notification content or schedule is sent to us or to any server.
If we change this policy, we will post the updated version at this URL with a new “Effective date.” If a change is material (for example, if a future version of the app were ever to introduce data collection), we will provide notice inside the app before the change takes effect, and this policy will always accurately describe the version of the app available on the App Store.
